What is Boudoir?
Boudoir photography is a style of photography designed to empower women by helping them see their own beauty through intimate portraits. Most boudoir photoshoots show a sexy and revealing side, and are typically shot in a bedroom style setting. However since the goal is to show you how gorgeous you are we can achieve that goal in a number of ways. Some people feel most comfortable outside, or at the beach, and some feel more beautiful in a dress than in lingerie.
How does it all work?
So you’ve seen our work and are interested in a photoshoot, but what’s next? How do you plan this? What’s all included? We have a step by step process to make sure we create the perfect experience for you. Some people already have a vision in mind for their photoshoot, and others just know that they want nice pictures. Our process allows you to be as involved as you want. So whether you know exactly what you want or you just want to show up on the day of and get great shots we will guide you every step of the way.
Pre Photoshoot
The first steps are to download our guide, Before You Boudoir and book a pre photoshoot consultation with us. The guide covers everything you need to know before the session including outfits, hair and makeup, posing, pricing and package options, and so much more. The first part of the consultation includes a fun questionnaire so we have an idea of what you are looking for before we get on the phone. After the phone call we will send you our prep guide so you can start planning your session. You can email us ideas, create a Pinterest board and send it to us, or plan it all yourself.
Day of Photoshoot
Our goal on the day of the session is to make you feel 100% comfortable. We play your favorite music, help you decide which outfit and accessories to start with, and get you started with the makeup artist. Once you are ready to shoot we will guide you through every single pose and show you exactly what to do. We know how to pose you down to your finger tips. Throughout your shoot, we will give you simple instructions, from where to look to where to put your hands. You just need to show up and we will do the rest.
Post Photoshoot
After we are finished with the photoshoot we will break for about 60 minutes. You are welcome to hang out in the studio while we edit, or you can leave and get a bite to eat. Once we are finished you will be able to view the images from the session. Our clients love the same day viewing as it gives them a chance to see how great their images are and not have to wait a week or two to find out. After you've narrowed down your selection you can decide if you want your photos in an heirloom box or a black album. We also have wall canvases that are perfect for hanging in the bedroom, walk in closet or master bath.
